Meet Susan Brown
Allied ASID Interior Designer
Susan Brown started her career in the communications industry. After sitting in a cubicle, surrounded by blank walls and overhead fluorescent lighting all day, she took the initiative to propose a new office design to her boss. After reviewing the design proposal, her boss responded with “you are in the wrong business my dear.”
This experience helped Susan realize just how much her surroundings affected her mood and productivity and quickly decided she wanted to help others create spaces that inspired them.
In 2001, Susan returned to school for an Associate Degree in Interior Design from Harrington Institute and started working within the design industry.
Susan’s design dreams came true in the fall of 2021 when she opened the doors to her first brick and mortar studio!
Susan is married with two amazing daughters and lives in Roscoe Village.
Kathy Gerber
Design Assistant
Kathy is Susan's superstar design assistant! She loves fashion and before joining Susan Brown Interiors, she worked as a Merchandise Planner in the buying office of some major retailers. Her organizational skills are her calling card and she has an eye for detail. Kathy is married with a son and twin daughters and lives in Roscoe Village.
